all my bisque fired stuff

so to start my ceramics 4, i tried something new. I started to square off my pots and add lids to them. This keeps the functional goal in mind and also adds a little spice to it. I learned that i can't get things as square as i would like but thats just life. Also, i made them into a set and EVERYTHING looks better in a set, fact. I plan on keeping these glazed pretty neutral, most likely will gas fire them at the edina art center.

This next piece of mine was just a simple vase that I wanted to get very light. I have a new technique of doing this which takes a lot of trimming skills. I threw it on a bat, but left it really thick, this way i can get any shape i want with out it collapsing. Once it is a little drier i just trim the crap out of it, i think i got it to about 1 and a half pounds, thats pretty dank'ums. I wanna do this glaze I saw at the edina art center called Opal Blue, similar to WOO BLUE< maybe i'll do a collaborations of the WOO and the Opal and it will just be verry berry blue. It has a mildly attractive curve to it, yes it does, dont deny it, it does.

SOOOOOOOOOO, my last first project was just a simply set of mugs. They are functional like i like things to be, but also they are in a set! and sets are just fantastic! I think i'm gonna stick to a neutral green glaze to it, or maybe red. or maybe once again i'll hit up a collaboration of the green and red and bring christmas back, the same way justin timberlake brough sexy back...YUP>
